Michelle is the creator of Melodies & ABC’s™, an age specific school readiness music program.  The program was created based off of her field work and research in the area of early childhood development and music education. She is an accredited music therapist (MTA) holding Masters of Music (MM) (Western Michigan University, 2009), with an emphasis in Music Therapy, and a Bachelor’s of Science (BSc) specializing in Music Education and Special Education (University of Mary, 2003).

When she is not working on the floor with families, Michelle can also be found teaching the next generation of music therapists at Canadian Mennonite University.  Michelle has also been a guest speaker at various conferences and workshops throughout North America.

Some of Michelle’s achievements are running Prelude Music a music therapy and education business in Winnipeg, Manitoba, 2012 judge for the Juno’s in the category of Best Children’s Album, 2014 the winner of the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Emerging Business, and a nomination of CBC’s Future40.
